The law firm said in a press
release Monday that McWilliams will be joined by Elad Roisman, former acting chairman
of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Jennifer Leete, former associate
director in the SEC’s division of enforcement.
McWilliams, who left the FDIC in February, will serve as the
office’s managing partner.
The new partners will advise clients
across a range of industries such as financial services, fintech and emerging
technology in areas that will include regulation, corporate governance and
investigation matters.
“Our clients face an increasingly
complex and active regulatory environment, and our move today enhances our
ability to provide the most creative advice in addressing their most
challenging matters,” Faiza Saeed, Cravath’s presiding partner, said in the
release.
