The $4 billion-asset company said in a press release Wednesday that it had Edwin Oh is its new SBA manager. Oh brought two SBA-focused bankers over to RBB.

Oh previously served as an credit department manager at VelocitySBA.

RBB also said it had rehired Rick Carpenter as a commercial lending manager. He had previously worked at RBB for four years.

"We’re excited for Edwin and his team to join us and lead the SBA business at RBB," David Morris, the company’s interim president and CEO, said in the release. "He is a proven leader with deep ties to the Southern California business community."

Morris said RBB has hired eight bankers in the past six months.

Morris became interim CEO in February when the company placed Alan Thian on leave while it conducted a probe. Thian resigned four months later after the investigation, handled by an outside law firm, identified violations of company policies and procedures.
