Southwest Bank in Texas starts oil and gas division

SouthWest Bank in Odessa, Texas, has created an oil and gas division after hiring two bankers.

The $645 million-asset bank said in a press release that it hired commercial lenders Richard Davis Browning II and Wes Webb.

Webb previously served as an account officer at First Oklahoma Bank. Browning was a portfolio manager at Texas Capital Bank.

“We are so excited to announce the creation of our new oil and gas department and the lenders that will make this department successful,” Dewey Bryant, the bank’s CEO, said in the release.

“We are continuously looking at how we can build our staff with high-quality people that provide superior service to our customers,” Bryant added. “We welcome these individuals to the SouthWest Bank family, and I am confident they will make a positive impact in our markets that will position us well in the years to come.”
